Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya, Bhopal

The university was established as a common university for all the technical institutes, mainly including engineering and pharmacy colleges in the state of Madhya Pradesh. The university was named after the former Prime Minister of India, Rajiv Gandhi. All the colleges of Engineering, Pharmacy, Science and Technology as well as the Polytechnics affiliated to various universities and Boards of Technical Education are affiliated to the newly set up University of Technology.It is the 28th largest university in the world .

RGPV was established by the government of Madhya Pradesh Act No. 13 of 1986.
