Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture & Technology Kanpur

Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture & Technology (CSAUA&T)  is an agricultural university at Kanpur in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. It is named after the famous Indian revolutionary Chandrashekhar Azad. There are five faculties in the university: Faculties of Agriculture and Home Science at Kanpur, and the Faculty of Agricultural Engineering & Technology. Fisheries.Dairy Technology at Etawah. The university caters to the needs of the farming community of 29 districts of Uttar Pradesh.

A small school was started in 1893 at Kanpur to provide training to revenue officers. It gradually grew to the status of a Government Agricultural College (1906), the U.P. Institute of Agricultural Sciences (1969) and a full-fledged university in 1975. U.P. College of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry, Mathura was merged with the university at that time.

Sam Higginbottom Institute of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences (SHIATS),  formerly Allahabad Agricultural Institute is a government aided deemed university located in Allahabad, India.

Established in 1910 by Dr. Sam Higginbottom as Allahabad Agricultural Institute towards improving the economic status of rural population. It became the first institute in India to offer a degree in Agricultural Engineering in 1942.

As a tribute to its founder, the institution submitted a proposal to the Ministry of Human Resource Development in 2009 to re-christen Allahabad Agricultural Institute as Sam Higginbottom Institute of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences. The Institute was conferred deemed university status on 15 March 2000 and got certified as a Christian Minority Educational Institution in December 2005. The MHRD has placed SHIATS in the list of elite category 'A' deemed universities on the basis of the expert committee recommendation.

Indian Agricultural Research Institute New Delhi

The Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI) commonly known as Pusa Institute is India's premier national Institute for agricultural research, education and extension.

Situated in Delhi, it is financed and administered by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). The IARI was responsible for the research leading to the "Green Revolution in India" of the 1970s.

The institute was originally established in 1905 at Pusa, Bihar, as Agricultural Research Institute (ARI), which was changed to Imperial Institute of Agricultural Research in 1911 and then again in 1919 as the Imperial Agricultural Research Institute. with the financial assistance of an American Philanthropist, Henry Phipps, Jr.. Phipps was a family friend of Lady Curzon, who was the daughter of American millionaire and wife of Lord Curzon, the Viceroy of India. Phipps stayed as a guest of Curzons during his visit to India. More importantly, Phipps left behind with them a donation of $30,000, which was utilized for the establishment of the institute. He laid the foundation stone of Agricultural Research Institute and college on 1 April 1905.

However the institute was damaged during the devastating Bihar earthquake of 1934 which occurred on 15 January 1934. Thereafter the Secretary of State approved the transfer in July, 1943.The Standing Finance Committee of the Union Assembly finally announced on 25 August 1934 in Shimla, the decision to shift the institute to New Delhi at the approximate cost of
8 million (US$56,000).to a place that is now called Pusa in New Delhi. The new campus at New Delhi was inaugurated on 29 July 1936, while the new building of the Imperial Institute of Agricultural Research was inaugurated by then Viceroy of India, Lord Linlithgow on 7 November 1936.

Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) is an agrotechnology provider of India and its graduates are recognized throughout the world.
