Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University formerly Purvanchal University, is in Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh. It was established in 1987 as a residential-cum-affiliating university. It is named after Shri Veer Bahadur Singh, the former chief minister of Uttar Pradesh.
